Sheryl Axelrod Presents a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion CLE
Sheryl Axelrod presented the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion CLE at the New York State Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section’s Summer Meeting at The Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia. Her 50-minute presentation was entitled, “From passive inequality watchers to inclusion builders: what disenfranchisement teaches us about how to be positive change makers.” During it, Sheryl discussed the disenfranchisement of women and all in historically underrepresented groups, unconscious and confirmation bias – what these terms mean and what the studies tell us about the invisible barriers women and minorities face, the profitability of diversity, and tools we can use to become diversity champions. Special thanks to Bruce H. Lederman and Ariel Weinstock for this opportunity.
