On January 10, 2013, Sheryl Axelrod spoke as a panelist to members of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession on “The Balancing Act.” The event, designed to enhance the lives of women in the profession, consisted of a moderated roundtable discussion on challenges and solutions to achieving a satisfying work-life fit. Ms. Axelrod’s fellow panelists were:
* The Honorable Anne Lazarus of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania’s intermediate state appellate court;
* The Honorable Sandra Mazer Moss of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia;
* The former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the highest position in the organization, Jane Dalton;
* Jennifer Brooks who was a partner at Eckert Seamans and now works in-house at Guide One Insurance Company; and
* Jocelyn Gabrynowicz Hill from the City Law Department.
Ellen Bailey of Eckert Seamans, Co-Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Women in the Profession Quality of Life Committee, served as the moderator.
