Representing NAMWOLF before the Offices of Minority and Women Inclusion Directors of Major Federal Financial Regulatory Agencies

After hearing from a huge number of witnesses and reviewing a massive amount of documents, Congress determined that the stark lack of diversity in the financial sector was one of the causes of the country’s recent near financial collapse.  In her role as Chair of the NAMWOLF Dodd-Frank Ad Hoc Committee, Sheryl Axelrod attended a meeting of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) Directors of certain major federal financial regulatory agencies: the Treasury, Federal Reserve, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, National Credit Union Administration, and Securities and Exchange Commission.  The meeting was held to discuss how the OMWIs can maximize their engagement with minority and women-owned businesses, particularly law firms.
