American Bar Association Gender Equity Task Force Webinar

On September 30, 2015, Sheryl L. Axelrod, President of The Axelrod Firm, served on the American Bar Association (ABA) Commission on Women in the Profession webinar, “Show me the money, and the benefits! Negotiating her way UP,” with Michele Coleman Mayes, Vice President and General Counsel of the New York Public Library and Ingrid Busson, Executive Director of Morgan Stanley. The ABA Commission on Women in the Profession webinar was moderated by former ABA President Laurel Bellows. When an organization’s compensation practices do not provide equal pay for equal work, women leave. If today’s organizations are to survive and thrive, they must retain, promote, and fairly reward talented women lawyers. This program gave women attorneys of all levels and practices the tools needed to effectively negotiate for excellent promotions and compensation.
