Lisa Savitt Travels to Croatia and Serbia as Part of ABA Section of International Law ILEX Delegation

Firm Partner Lisa Savitt recently traveled with an ABA Section of International Law delegation on an International Legal Exchange trip to Croatia and Serbia. The delegation met with prominent members of the judiciary, leaders of the Croatian Bar Association, members of civil society organizations, and the U.S. Ambassadors to Croatia and Serbia. In Zagreb, Croatia, the delegation met with high level officials at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia, members of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia and the Dean of the Law Faculty of Zagreb, Mrs. Dubravka Hrabar and professors at the school.

In Belgrade, Serbia, the delegation met with civil society organizations including a designee from the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights, representatives from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission, several Serbian lawyers and professors and students from the Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade.

The delegation included Linda Klein, the President of the American Bar Association, Hilarie Bass, President-Elect of the ABA, Deborah Enix-Ross, Chair of the ABA House of Delegates, leaders from the ABA Section of International Law as well as leaders from the International Association of Young Lawyers and a leader from the Korean Bar Association.
