On February 19, 2021 Sheryl Axelrod presented at the #ABAMidyear Meeting during the GOOD Guys: Judicial Edition / “Men in the Mix” program. After introductory remarks by Teresa Beck, Sheryl presented for 45 minutes on, “Braving and Deconstructing Bias: The Rewards of Equity, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.” Her address provided concrete steps everyone can take to become diversity champions, along with action steps organizations can take to dismantle inequality.
Sheryl’s remarks set the stage for the GOOD Guys judicial panel featuring Justice Goodwin Liu, Judge Margaret McKeown, Captain Jon Stephens, and Chief Judge Timothy Kenny, which was moderated by Judge Peter M. Reyes, Jr.
