The American Bar Association Woman Advocate Committee (WAC) held a panel discussion, “Diversity: It Makes Teams Better, A Special Roundtable Discussion.” The panel, which was comprised of both private practicing attorneys — The Axelrod Firm’s Jamie Augustinsky, Sheryl Axelrod, and Kevinn Souffrant, along with fellow National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) attorneys Gerardo Alcazar, Kenneth Battle, Sandy Sakamoto, and Roberto Portillo Togno – and in-house counsel, Althia O. Bennett, Chief Counsel at the Office of State Inspector General, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Debbie Carlos, Vice President and Senior Deputy General Counsel of Litigation at Comcast Corporation – will be moderated by Pamela Stewart, Director, Assistant General Counsel of Home Care & Stationary and Office Supply Divisions, 3M.
The discussion which was sponsored with the ABA WAC by the National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF), and the ABA Young Lawyers Division, featured examples of the competitive advantage of having diverse perspectives.
